Fortuna Silver Mines cranked silver production by a third; increases 2012 guidance

Fortuna Silver Mines boosted production by close to a third last year at its Mexico and Peru silver mines. Fortuna (NYSE:FM, TSE:FVI) said it produced 2.5 million ounces of silver in 2011, a 31% increase over 2010. Freeport-McMoRan’s net income in 4Q halved but still finishes the year up
